Football and gymnastics are very popular owing to our skilled coaches in both areas and run most sessions.

Arts & Drama

Each week the children who select drama will work towards a Friday final performance. They will rehearse daily and use arts sessions to create props, masks and costumes.

Dance sessions are available throughout the week either in tandem with the play or as stand alone sessions.

• Art and Crafts is available daily. There is always a fun new activity or the children can engage in free flow (with in reason!).

Operational Questions

Q. Why are there 15 in a group when current government guidelines state only six people can meet?

We are following current government guidance which recommends us to operate in groups or bubbles of no more than 15 children. Our biggest bubble group based on our current safety plan is 15. These bubbles will not come into contact with other bubbles throughout the camp day and will keep consistent camp leaders leading the activities.

Will you accept children who attend for just a few days per week? How will you ensure that groups are kept consistent?

We will be accepting children where the childcare requirement is less than a week ONLY at Orley Farm ( 3 days minimum). We recognise the significance of our responsibility to keep everyone safe and of the childcare requirements over the summer holidays which will go further than just weekly booking requirements.

Current government guidance says that, where possible, these bubbles should remain the same on consecutive days, however there are likely to be amendments to current guidance before we open. We continue to follow government guidance on a daily basis and will update our policies and risk assessments accordingly.

We have a responsibility to create a COVID secure environment, which we will do through all the measures we have set out, and we expect that our parents/guardians to also act responsibly. It is vital parents/guardians do not allow their child(ren) to attend if they are showing symptoms or are required to meet isolation or testing protocols after coming into contact with someone who has COVID-19.

We will record every child who has been within a bubble on a weekly basis and try to minimise daily changes as much as possible. If we are contacted by a parent/guardian or NHS track and trace to inform us of a positive test, we are then able to alert all parents/guardian where a child may have come into contact with the infected individual.

What if my child is in a bubble that then is closed due to someone showing symptoms?

You will be notified immediately and required to come and collect your child from Camp as soon as reasonably possible. Whilst waiting all children in the bubble will be subject to isolation protocols. Your child and household will then be required to adhere to government self-isolation protocols. If your child or member of your household starts to display symptoms then they will be eligible for a test. We will welcome your child back to camp once self-isolation and/or testing protocols have been met and it is safe for them to return. You will be entitled to a credit note or you can reschedule the days missed free of charge to a later date.

What are your isolation protocols? ( 2020)

If someone on camp starts to display symptoms of COVID-19, the entirety of their bubble or group will be required to isolate until they are collected. All parents/guardians will be notified immediately and required to come and collect their child(ren) as soon as reasonably possible. The bubble/group will be isolated with the individual showing symptoms isolated separately whilst monitored by our team. All of the bubble/group are then required to meet government guidance on self-isolation and/or testing including our team members before returning to camp. If anyone shows symptoms they will then be eligible for a test. The rest of camp will continue as normal avoiding the areas that the isolated bubble used until these have be thoroughly/cleaned and disinfected. The camp will then be completely cleaned and disinfected overnight with support from external specialists.
